ASTON Martin Sydney was recently named 2016 Australasian Dealer of the Year, topping the British super-luxury marque’s inaugural retail incentive award program for this region.

The company has five dealerships in Australia and one in New Zealand, partnering with Independent Prestige in Auckland (part of the Giltrap Group), Barbagallo Motors in Perth, Solitaire Automotive in Adelaide, Zagame Automotive in Melbourne, Sunshine Automotive on the Gold Coast and Trivett Bespoke in Sydney, which since 2013 has been part of Inchcape Australia.

According to Aston, the DOTY title recognises the dealership with “the most consistent and outstanding performance” over the past 12 months across four key areas of operations: sales, aftersales, marketing and business administration.

Trivett Bespoke has represented Aston since 1999, and dealer principal Marc Webb was presented with the award – which included a plaque with a gold-plated version of the brand’s iconic wings badge – at a ceremony at Aston Martin’s global headquarters in Gaydon, England, earlier this month.

Company representatives at the event included vice-president and chief sales officer Christian Marti, chief creative officer Marek Reichman, Asia-Pacific regional president Patrik Nilsson and Australia/NZ regional manager Kevin Wall.

“Aston Martin Sydney is a well-deserved recipient of this prestigious award,” Mr Wall said.

“The business has achieved superb performance during its tenure with Aston Martin, and in particular experienced excellent results following the debut of the new Aston Martin DB11 in 2016.

“I extend my congratulations to Marc Webb and the wider team at Aston Martin Sydney on their ongoing efforts and achievements.”

In accepting the award, Mr Webb described the dealership’s success as an “exceptional achievement, in particular given the calibre and professionalism of the retail network across Australia and New Zealand”.

“This award is testament to the commitment and passion our team has demonstrated in striving to deliver exceptional levels of customer service on every occasion,” he said.

“My sincere appreciation to every member of the Trivett Bespoke team who continue to set new benchmarks every day.”

As GoAuto has reported, Aston Martin is anticipating strong sales growth in the coming years with new models approaching such as the DB11 (now being delivered), Vantage (2017), Vanquish replacement (2018) and Valkyrie hypercar (2018), ahead of a new wave of all-new models including the DBX – its first SUV – a mid-engined sportscar, two top-end Lagonda sedans and a Rapide electric vehicle.

Mr Wall said last year that there were no plans to expand the dealer network in either Australia or New Zealand, pointing to the fact that the current retailers had invested heavily in upgrading facilities in preparation for this product revolution and that the brand was well covered in both countries.
