LIVERPOOL Mazda has arisen as a new dealership from the site where it first started trading 75 years ago.

The western Sydney dealership on Hume Highway – operated by Automotive Holdings Group Ltd – was bulldozed 14 months ago and relocated to a temporary location.

Now the site is transformed with a $13.5-million showroom and workshop development with an architecturally designed three-storey building on the sloping 7164-square-metre site.

It includes 1200 square-metres of showroom and customer-service areas and a 1900-square-metre workshop area with 23 service bays.

Environmental solutions include LED lighting, air-conditioning controlled by an automated building management system, and 50,000 litres of rainwater storage for recycling to wash bays and toilet facilities.

Liverpool Mazda is one of 10 Mazda franchises held by AHG in Australia and New Zealand, including the Mazda Connect shopping-centre showroom in Auckland.

The dealership has James Malone as dealer principal. The official opening ceremony will be held on Tuesday, March 19.
