AUTOSPORTS Group Ltd has appointed Danny Rezek to its board of directors and as a member of both the ‘audit and risk committee’ and ‘people and remuneration committee’.
Mr Rezek will be an independent, non-executive director.
Autosports said that he has almost 40 years of experience working in, or for, the automotive industry.
This has included leadership positions at BMW Group Australia and Jaguar Land Rover Australia, with six years as managing director of Jaguar and seven years as managing director of Land Rover.
He was also managing director of Jaguar Land Rover from 2002 to 2003.
Mr Rezek was also leader of Deloitte’s automotive practice in Australia and has been office managing partner of Deloitte Western Sydney for more than seven years.
He has also been a director of the Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation since 2019.
Autosports Group chair Jim Evans said he was “delighted that Danny has agreed to join our board”.
“With a deep understanding of the automotive industry and as a respected leader, Danny is well-equipped to provide invaluable strategic insights to the Autosports Group board. We welcome and look forward to Danny joining the board.”
The board has also announced that Marina Go will retire as an independent non-executive director, effective at the end of Autosports Group’s 2024 annual general meeting to be held on November 22.
Ms Go joined the board on October 28, 2016, three weeks prior to Autosports Group Ltd listing on the ASX.
She has served as the chair of the ‘people and remuneration committee’ and a member of the ‘audit and risk committee’.
