NISSAN Australia has announced the latest member of its corporate communications team, with experienced PR professional Emily Fadeyev assuming the role of corporate communications senior manager.

Ms Fadeyev joins the Nissan team after a decade-long stint with Renault Australia, which recently moved from an OEM-backed local operation to a distributorship model under Ateco Automotive.

She occupied a number of roles across her career with Renault, most recently as corporate communications manager – a role she has held on and off since March 2012.

Throughout 2020 she was Renault’s general manager of human resources and corporate planning, and at one point had sponsorships manager in her list of responsibilities alongside her role in corporate communications.

Ms Fadeyev started her career at Renault in 2011 as corporate communications coordinator, and before that had a four-year stint with Mercedes-Benz Australia/Pacific as events marketing coordinator and corporate communications assistant.

She holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne, majoring in marketing.

Nissan Australia managing director Stephen Lester said Ms Fadeyev would be a welcome addition to the brand’s local operations.

“We are thrilled that Emily is joining Nissan and the Corporate Communications team,” he said.

“Emily is well-known and respected amongst Australian media, and her understanding of the industry and media requirements will be a valuable asset as Nissan approaches a period of significant new model introductions.”

Ms Fadeyev replaced David Adams, who moved from the UK last year after a seven-year career in communications with Aston Martin.
