FUCHS Australasia managing director Wayne Hoiles said the acquisition – effective immediately – was made so that FUCHS could offer a full product range locally.
The FUCHS Silkolene line-up covers all types of motorcycles with its lubricants, cleaning and maintenance products.
“We are excited to add the FUCHS Silkolene motorcycle range to the FUCHS Australasia portfolio,” he said. “Our aim is to grow the brand and develop a better distribution network for the product.
“This really completes our offering across all industries, so we can push into new areas where previously we have not had an opportunity.”
Mr Hoiles paid tribute to Warrian Enterprises director John Warrian for his efforts in growing the FUCHS Silkolene brand in Australia.
“We can’t emphasise enough what a great job John Warrian and the Warrian Enterprises team have done with the brand,” he said.
“John has been a staple of the motorcycle industry and we are very fortunate to take over FUCHS Silkolene based on the foundation of everything that John and his team have achieved.”
Mr Warrian said that over a 30-year involvement distributing the FUCHS Silkolene brand locally, Warrian Enterprises won numerous World Championships in Speedway solos and sidecars, took out many Australian Motocross titles and several Australian Road Race Championships.
“Our motorsport success has been a cornerstone of the John Warrian and Fuchs Silkolene lubricants legacy and we are very proud of those marketing activities and will always reflect upon them with a sense of pride.
“We have built some great relationships, and we will continue to work with many of those people.
“We wish FUCHS Australasia all the very best with this opportunity.”
FUCHS Silkolene products are sold in more than 50 countries and are backed by over 30 years of R&D programs.
These products have been used by racing teams in the MotoGP, World Superbikes, British Superbikes and Motocross competitions.
