GAC has signed a three-season deal to become the official automotive partner of the Sydney FC football team from the 2026/27 A-League season.
As part of the multi-year deal, GAC branding will feature on the right sleeve of Sydney FC’s A-League men’s and women’s, and academy playing and training kits.
The partnership also extends to match-day activations at Allianz Stadium in Moore Park – the club’s home venue – as well as fan engagement experiences, player appearances, digital content collaborations and community initiatives through the Sky Blue Pathways program.
GAC’s Australian CEO Kevin Shu said GAC is “extremely proud” to become Sydney’s FC new partner and saw the deal as an opportunity for the Chinese marque – which launched locally late last year – to introduce itself to Australian football fans while supporting the game.
“At GAC we are passionate about innovation, performance and connecting with communities, and we see many similarities between our organisation and Sydney FC’s vision for the future,” Mr Shu said in a media release.
“This partnership gives us an exciting platform to introduce the GAC brand to Australian football fans while supporting the growth of the game from grassroots through to the professional level.
“We are looking forward to building a long-term relationship with Sydney FC and creating memorable experiences for supporters both on and off the field.”
Sydney FC’s executive vice chairman Sebastian Gray said the team was pleased to partner with GAC because of its “forward-thinking” approach.
“We are particularly pleased to align with a company that shares our ambition, forward-thinking mindset and commitment to growth, innovation and long-term success,” he said.
“(GAC’s) investment across our men’s, women’s and academy programs demonstrates genuine belief in the direction of Sydney FC and we are excited about what we can achieve together over the coming years.”
GAC isn’t the only automotive-related partner signed up recently by the Sydney-based football club.
In September of 2025, accident and warranty replacement provider Carbiz was signed as the official fleet partner for the club on a one-year deal.
Isuzu Ute branding has also featured on the club’s kit in recent years, following the Japanese brand’s signing as the A-League’s naming rights partner in 2021.
