HINO Australia will move its parts division to a new site in western Sydney, following a similar move made by parent Toyota Australia in November 2018.

The truck company has signed a lease on a new 9230-square-metre site in the Horsley Park Estate and expects completion of the warehouse and office in the second quarter of 2021.

It will be the first time the parts distribution division will operate from a different location to the Hino head office which remains in Caringbah.

Toyota also moved its parts division in 2018 from Caringbah to Kemps Creek in western Sydney, but its head office relocated to Melbourne.

Hino Australia general manager of product support, Greg Bleasel, said: “It will optimise our supply chain network by providing a better and faster service to our customers and dealers and allow Hino to respond to the projected growth in vehicle sales and parts demand over the coming years.”

The investment in the expanded parts distribution centre facilities will allow Hino and its dealer network to meet the forecast future business expansion and the growing needs of customers.

The Horsley Park Estate is within the established industrial areas of Horsley Park and Eastern Creek as well as the Western Sydney Employment Area (WSEA).

Toyota Australia’s parts centre is on a 6.4-hectare site in Kemps Creek, about 2km from the Hino parts site. It houses more than 128,000 parts and ships about 27,000 parts daily.
