OMODA JAECOO has become a sponsor of Western Sydney Wanderers Football Club and will provide support for the club’s Wanderers Fives World Cup tournament and the Sydney Super Cup.
During this sponsorship period, Omoda Jaecoo will offer a range of special opportunities for soccer fans and MY OJ club members.
This includes an exclusive watch party for the Socceroos’ World Cup fixture on 26 June at Wanderers’ Football Park.
“The A-League represents the pinnacle of professional football in Australia and New Zealand and to partner with such a prolific team within the sport is a fantastic opportunity,” said Omoda Jaecoo Australia chief commercial officer Roy Munoz.
“Jaecoo and the Wanderers go together like a ball and the back of the net; this partnership is bound to result in kicking countless goals over the coming months.”
Established in 2012, the Western Sydney Wanderers have become one of east coast Australia’s most recognised football clubs, built on a passionate supporter base and a deep connection to the diverse communities of Western Sydney.
The club has enjoyed significant success on the pitch, including winning the 2012/13 A-League Premiership and making history as the first Australian club to claim the AFC Champions League title in 2014, while continuing to drive innovation through its elite football programs, community initiatives, and major events.
Western Sydney Wanderers CEO Scott Hudson said his club was delighted to welcome Omoda Jaecoo to the Wanderers’ family at what is an incredibly exciting time for the club.
“Jaecoo’s commitment to innovation, community, and creating memorable experiences aligns strongly with our own values, and we look forward to working together across the Fives World Cup and the Sydney Super Cup to engage our members and supporters,” he said.
The Sydney Super Cup kicks off on 28 July with Western Sydney taking on Chelsea FC at Accor Stadium.
Omoda Jaecoo, which launched in Australia in May 2025, posted a record in May this year, finishing 14th overall with 2570 deliveries, with its J5 EV the best-selling electric small SUV for the month.
“It’s crazy to think we only cracked 1000 sales for the first time earlier this year and now we’re celebrating over 2500 registrations just a few months later,” added Mr Munoz.
“To do this in such a short time is a real testament to our 60-strong dealer network and further proof Aussies have growing confidence in our products.”
The J5 EV sold 2126 units in May to make it the best-selling electric small SUV, while the J5 range finished seventh for overall (2172 total) monthly sales.
