Karmo co-founder and CEO Nick Boucher said the partnership was a major step forward for electric mobility in Australia.

“We’re making it easier than ever for Australians to switch to EVs without the financial burden and complexity that has traditionally held people back,” he said.

“One of the biggest concerns people have is around residual values and what their EV will be worth in a few years.

“With Karmo, that worry disappears. Whether you’re a household or a business, we’ve got the entire package covered from vehicle to charging.”

JET Charge founder and CEO Tim Washington

JET Charge CEO Tim Washington said: “At JET Charge, we’re committed to breaking down the barriers to EV adoption, and affordability is a big part of that.

“By partnering with Karmo, we’re not just putting more EVs on the road, we’re making it easier for people to choose electric.

“The future of transport in Australia relies on smart infrastructure, accessible technology, and seamless user experiences. This partnership is another step toward making electric mobility the default, not the exception.”Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) said EVs could account for up to 72 per cent of road transport by 2040 under its Green Energy Exports scenario.

The Karmo and JET Charge partnership is designed to address one of the most critical enablers of this transition; accessible, reliable charging infrastructure for homes and businesses alike while making electric mobility easier and more attainable for all Australians.

The EV and charger package is now on the market with nationwide installation supported through the JET Charge network.

Karmo was started in 2019 by Nick Boucher and is now the biggest car subscription provider in Australia. It now has more than 8000 customers.

The subscription model adapts to users’ lifestyle and business needs and has the ability to regularly swap vehicles to provide a flexible and budget-friendly alternative to traditional car ownership.
