AUSTRALIA’S biggest Mercedes-Benz dealer group, LSH Auto Australia, has held a black-tie gala event in Sydney to recognise those of its almost 500 team members who had performed at an exemplary standard and those who had made extraordinary contributions to the positive culture of the organisation.

The LSH Auto Australia Excellence Awards covered outstanding performance across a range of dealership disciplines and awarded the annual LSH Auto Australia Choice Award.

This award is not for specific job performance but for contribution to team culture and commitment to living the group values of trust, integrity, teamwork, relevance, and social responsibility.

Choice Awards, which see 12 team members – equally from the LSH Auto Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane Dealerships – peer nominated over the four quarters of the year, link with the group’s commitment to being a valued member of each community in which they operate, by making a noteworthy contribution to each nominee’s charity of choice.

LSH Auto Australia Excellence Awards also include the internal “Masters Club” program which recognises the best of performance across a range of criteria in each business unit.

The national 2021 LSH Auto Australia Choice Award winner was Jimmy Tuna, sales executive of LSH Auto Melbourne.

LSH said that Jimmy was recognised for his outstanding contribution to progressing a collaborative workplace and furthering a positive group culture and had chosen the Starlight Children’s Foundation as his charity of choice.

LSH gives charities a cheque on behalf of the winners. Amongst the other charities selected by the quarterly Choice Award recipients were the National Breast Cancer Foundation, The RSPCA, The Royal Children’s Hospital, Beyond Blue, Vision Australia and Parkinsons NSW.

LSH Auto Australia managing director John Good said: “These awards are our opportunity to recognise those high achievers and contributors who make such a difference to our businesses.

“Over the past two years we have faced challenges none of us foresaw. What is particularly pleasing is how our entire team, all of whom we supported through the pandemic disruptions, responded with such positivity and energy to each new circumstance.

“I’m immensely proud of all of them. Of course, there will always be star performers. But for us they are not just to be celebrated, they also offer an opportunity to learn and to build ways to help others emulate their excellence.”

The LSH Auto Australia Excellence Awards were held at Sydney’s Star Barangaroo on the evening of Saturday April 9 with media personality Erin Molan as Master of Ceremonies.

A special guest of honour was LSH Auto Australia ambassador and 2022 Young Australian of the Year, Dr Daniel Nour.

Dr Nour is the founder of Street Side Medics, which delivers medical care to the homeless and dispossessed, also supported by LSH Auto Australia.
