JAGUAR Land Rover has become the latest OEM in Australia to choose Manheim as its exclusive supplier of automotive remarketing and vehicle services for its Range Rover, Land Rover and Jaguar brands.

Under the new agreement, Manheim will provide an end-to-end solution including both physical and digital services to JLR and its retailers.

Manheim will manage the logistical and operational requirements for company fleet assets including vehicle inspections, vehicle detailing, professional photography including branded backgrounds, online auctions, sale management and administration all to JLR global standards.

Key components in JLR’s decision to move to Manheim were Manheim’s deeper capability flowing from its experience with prestige OEM’s both locally and globally, its proactive account management and competitive pricing as well as the resources brought to the table by being part of Cox Automotive.

Manheim’s Head of OEM Partnerships, Glen Faulkner, said: “JLR already works closely with our Data & Retail business, and we were delighted at their decision to move to Manheim for Remarketing and Vehicle Services.

“As part of Cox Automotive we can provide an end-to-end solution which not only meets their current requirements but also their plans for the future.”

JLR’s Commercial Sales Manager, Adrian Givoye, said: “We were impressed by Manheim’s proactive response, commitment to meet our brand requirements and the new systems and processes they have implemented to support OEM’s.

“Cox Automotive understands our business and the importance of protecting our brand and ultimately supporting residual values”.

Manheim already acts for a number of OEMs. In May, it became the preferred supplier of remarketing services for Mercedes-Benz Australia/Pacific (MBAP) and Mercedes-Benz Financial Services Australia (MBFS).

It means Manheim will manage MBAP and MBFS logistical and operational requirements for company fleet, lease, rental and finance assets including vehicle inspections, vehicle detailing, professional photography including Mercedes-Benz branded backgrounds, online auctions, sale management and administration all to the OEM’s standards.

MBAP said at the time that Manheim’s experience with OEMs both locally and globally, “its sales performance and its outstanding account management and support” were key components in the decision to extend the partnership.

Manheim will provide a suite of digital sales channels including web-streamed live online auctions and 100 per cent digital listings, for a comprehensive and convenient sales solution for Mercedes-Benz dealers as well as public prestige auction channels for MBFS vehicles.

In November, Manheim announced a similar extension in its logistics services to Volvo Car Australia.

The extended agreement includes vehicle inspections, vehicle detailing, photography, online auctions, sale management and administration.

Manheim, which sits under the Cox Automotive Australia umbrella, already supplies logistics services for disposing of fleet vehicles to about 75 per cent of OEMs operating in Australia – including BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Ford.
