MAZDA Australia has revealed its top-performing dealers of 2020 at its annual Master Dealer Excellence Awards with one dealership in Queensland being named for the 27th year running.

Unlike other dealer of the year awards which cover various categories, Mazda’s simply recognises its top dealerships through a single award with the winners being decided on by a strict criteria covering facilities, business processes, people development, sales results, financial management and customer satisfaction.

Six of 2020’s 16 winners were from Queensland, those being Grand Prix Mazda Aspley, Grand Prix Mazda Caboolture, Mareeba Mazda, Mount Gravatt Mazda, Wide Bay Mazda and Wippells Autos (Toowoomba), the last of which was recognised for the 27th year in a row.

The other winners consisted of Nowra Mazda (NSW), Penrith Mazda (NSW), Darwin Mazda (NT), Bendigo Mazda (Vic), Ringwood Mazda (Vic), South Morang Mazda (Vic), Edwardstown Mazda (SA), Mawson Lakes Mazda (SA), Paradise Mazda (SA) and Parkland Mazda (WA).

Mazda Australia sales director Jarrod Gieschen said the Master Dealer status was highly coveted within the brand’s dealer network, where service quality benchmarks were already exceptionally high.

“The network’s performance throughout 2020 is highly commendable and Mazda Australia is proud of the 2020 Mazda Master Dealer award-winners. These are dealers who go above and beyond for their customers,” he said.

“A highly motivated and passionate group of dealers is absolutely integral to Mazda Australia’s success and the Mazda Master Dealer program gives us an opportunity to celebrate their efforts.”

Mazda sold 85,640 new vehicles in 2020, down some 12.3 per cent on the 97,619 it managed in 2019 before the COVID-19 wreaked havoc on the industry around the globe.
