CHRIS Gledhill has been appointed managing director of Michelin Australia and New Zealand, succeeding David Issautier who has returned to Michelin head office in France as the company’s project lead.

Mr Gledhill was previously commercial director for Oceania for Michelin and has been with the tyre giant since 2011.

He joined the company from the UK as key account manager before progressing into the national sales manager role in 2016 and commercial director in 2018.

Nathan Flynn has subsequently been appointed a commercial director.

With more than eight years’ experience at Michelin Australia, Mr Flynn was previously based in Brisbane as the regional sales manager for Queensland, the Northern Territory and Western Australia.

He relocated to Michelin Australia’s head office at Port Melbourne, Victoria, in 2018 as customer service manager responsible for supply chain and logistic, customer service, sales/fleet administration and IT.

Mr Issautier meanwhile was managing director of Australia and New Zealand since January 2018 and had a strong focus on business-to-business (B2B) development.

“It has been an honour to work for and with the Australian team over the past six years and I am extremely proud of what we have achieved together,” he said.

“I know under the leadership of Chris Gledhill the Michelin Australia team will remain ambitious and achieve continued growth. I welcome Chris to this role and trust he will have much success in the future.”
