mycar has more than 270 locations across Australia and more than 1300 employees. It was previously Kmart Tyre and Auto. It offers automotive services including scheduled servicing, logbook services, tyres, brakes, suspension, batteries, and general mechanical repairs.
The agreement allows owners of AusMV’s Dodge, Ram, and Ford vehicles to use any of mycar’s 270 national outlets to service, repair and undertake warranty work on their vehicles.
It coincides with AusMV launching a five-year or 160,000km warranty and five-year roadside assistance program.
It also links with future plans by AusMV to market the Atlis EV ute in Australia from late next year. It also coincides with mycar’s plans to continue its technical reach into EV servicing and repair.
The deal comes four months after the legislation of the Motor Vehicle Service and Repair Information Sharing Scheme bill, allowing independent repairers access to OEM service data.
AusMV head of Future Business and Network Operations, former Hyundai and Holden executive Terry Mulcahy, told GoAutoNews Premium that it was a win-win for owners who had ready access to hundreds of mycar outlets.
Mr Mulcahy said mycar technical staff were very experienced on AusMV vehicles and that his company has backed that up with providing full documentation and diagnostic information on its vehicles as well as a direct phone ‘hotline’ contact with his company for any warranty or repair issues.
mycar managing director Adam Pay said the partnership was the result of his company’s dedication to enhance the customer experience and focus on reaching more customers.
“This partnership means mycar is now the preferred service provider for a wide range of existing makes/models and looks forward to partnering as they introduce new vehicles across Australia,” he said.
“mycar is a business focused on the future. We’re preparing for the next generation of vehicles and investing in growing our already 270-store footprint throughout the country, to support the increased demand from Australians.”
AusMV managing director Eddie Kocwa said in a statement: “We researched many potential partners for our customer’s service and warranty needs, but none offered the expertise and expansive broad locations like mycar.”
“Our company prides itself on putting the customer first and mycar does exactly that. They put their customers first and provide great service at affordable prices.”
AusMV is part of the Boss Capital Holdings group that includes SCD Remanufactured Vehicles, SCD Performance, Australian Owned, Lookaroo, AusEV and Advanced Manufacturing Queensland and Boss Global Investments.
It also recently announced the exclusive distribution rights for Atlis Motors XT Electric Pickup Trucks in Australia.
