POLESTAR Australia has appointed David Brown as head of customer operations, replacing Brad Kininjjew, who recently took up the role of acting chief executive at the Institute of Automotive Mechanical Engineers.
Mr Brown joins Polestar from automotive marketing agency AdTorque, where he spent more than five years, most recently as general manager of sales and marketing.
His career spans senior roles across the automotive sector including national aftersales manager at Jaguar Land Rover Australia, senior manager and associate director at KPMG Australia’s motor industry services division, and dealer development manager at Volkswagen Group Australia, where he spent almost eight years.
In his new role, Mr Brown will lead the Polestar customer operations function with a focus on enhancing ownership experience and supporting the brand’s growth in the local market.
Mr Brown said: “Polestar has built a strong reputation for delivering innovative electric performance vehicles and a premium customer experience.
“I’m excited to join the team at such an important stage of the brand’s growth journey in Australia and look forward to working with colleagues and partners to further strengthen the ownership experience for our customers.”
The appointment reinforces Polestar Australia’s focus on delivering a customer-centric ownership experience as the Sino-Swedish BEV brand attempts to expand across the country.
Polestar delivered 1481 vehicles in Australia during the first eight months of this year, down 9.3 per cent compared with the same period of 2025.
