NISSAN has shuffled its senior management for Australia and the Oceania region with the chair of Nissan AMIEO (Africa, Middle East, Europe and Oceania), Guillaume Cartier, expanding his role to include the title of chief performance officer.

In addition, Massimiliano (Max) Messina expands role and is appointed AMIEO vice chair, and senior vice president, chief finance, administration and strategy. He was previously senior vice president finance and information technology.

He now leads the region’s turnaround plan and oversees all financial activities, as well as IS IT functions, corporate planning, overseas program directors, and purchasing non-BOP (bought-out-parts).

Leon Dorssers takes on additional responsibilities and is appointed AMIEO senior vice president, chief of commercial operations.

He has oversight of all sub-regions’ profit and sales performance and continues to oversee all marketing and sales functions for the full region.

Mr Dorssers also adds AMIEO product and services planning and market intelligence to his scope, to ensure the right models, technologies and services are delivered to meet AMIEO customers’ needs.

Francois Bailly, region chief planning officer for the AMIEO region, is appointed as corporate executive vehicle program for global Nissan and will be based in Yokohama.

Nissan AMIEO employs more than 19,000 people and covers 140 markets with a population of around 3.8 billion.

The AMIEO region also boasts an extensive vehicle offering, ranging from the Nissan Patrol upper large SUV to the fully electric Nissan Ariya medium SUV.
