Based on KPI achievements and customer satisfaction ratings, Nissan says the purpose of the awards are to honour the dealers who have “demonstrated the highest standards and results across all aspects of their dealership operations”.
In accepting the metropolitan award, Ringwood Nissan dealer principal Danny Heffernan said he was proud both of his team and the dealership’s performance.
“With the criteria being based on overall dealership performance including sales, service, parts and customer satisfaction, this achievement is the result of a sustained, collective effort, not by individuals, but by a team of great people with a shared commitment and passion to achieve.
“It is amazing what a team can achieve when they share a common goal to provide our customers with outstanding customer experience.”
Nissan Australia sales director Ian Moreillon congratulated the Master winners and praised them for delivering consistent high performance.
“I have known Danny and his team for many years and this award is a testament to the hard work and dedication that his team at Ringwood Nissan have applied in the past nine years since opening their new dealership in Ringwood,” he said.
“This hard work and dedication in delivering exceptional customer experience sees them being afforded an inaugural Nissan Elite Master Dealer and the number one Metropolitan Dealership in Australia.
“I would also like to congratulate dealer principals John Nash from North Jacklin Nissan in Mackay and Chris Eschler of Great Lakes Nissan in Tuncurry on winning the Provincial and Rural Elite Master Dealer Awards for FY20.
“Like Ringwood Nissan, both these dealerships excelled in delivering an exceptional customer experience journey for all those that stepped foot inside their dealerships.”
On top of the three Elite Master prizes, three subsequent categories of Elite Dealer awards are offered in recognition of other top-performing dealerships within the metropolitan, provincial and rural constructs.
Out of a network of 182 dealerships, 33 were named as ‘Elite Dealer Excellence’ winners across the three categories.
Nissan has sold 26,673 new vehicles so far this year ending July 31, marking a 23.5 per cent improvement on the 21,599 units it shifted over the first seven months of 2020 with the venerable X-Trail again being the brand’s top-seller.
