AP EAGERS has opened a new showroom for its Aspley Nissan dealership in Queensland, replacing a temporary outlet less than one kilometre away.

Aspley Nissan is now sited alongside AP Eagers’ other franchises, including Holden and Suzuki, on the busy Gympie Road in Brisbane’s north.

The dealership is the latest for Nissan Australia as it rolls out its new corporate identity under the name Nissan Retail Concept, which includes a runway for a star vehicle, lounge areas and a viewing window to the service area within the building.

The showroom, which also has dual new-car customer delivery bays, also streams Nissan media content and Nissan Radio and has a large Nissan Video Wall to further enhance the digital services and customer experience.

Nissan Retail Concept innovations in customer care include a lounge with free WiFi, a hospitality bar, workstations, charge points and spacious seating options to allow prospective buyers to learn about vehicle selections.

Nissan Australia managing director Stephen Lester said his company was bringing the latest technology, products and customer experience to the new dealership.

“This outstanding new showroom will make the purchase experience a positive one for every Nissan customer,” he said.

“The investment by Eagers in this new site, the employment of additional staff brings jobs to the area, as well as providing Nissan customers with an advanced and exciting venue in which to pick out their next new car, which may even be a Nissan Leaf.”

The new showroom will be one of 90 Nissan dealerships in Australia that can sell and service the Nissan Leaf EV.

Aspley Nissan dealer principal Ben Nicholson said: “The electric car is coming of age in Australia, and this dealership is ready to assist customers to integrate a Nissan Leaf into their lifestyle.

“We can even help them with the selection and installation of a home or office charging system for their car.”

Mr Nicholson said the dealership was investing in the community and employing from the district.

“Our expertly trained sales staff and service technicians will provide the highest level of customer satisfaction throughout their ownership experience, from the delight of taking delivery to the satisfaction of having the best technicians service their pride and joy,” he said.

The new Aspley Nissan dealership is at 1454 Gympie Road in Aspley. The street is in the largest prime marketing area in Queensland.

Aspley Nissan was – like the Holden, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Fiat, Mitsubishi, Hyundai, Suzuki and other franchises – once under the Zupps Group name until Automotive Holdings Group (AHG) bought the Queensland company’s 32 outlets in 2007 for $117 million.

It came onto AP Eagers’ books this year as part of its takeover of AHG.
