CENTRAL Australian Toyota dealer group Peter Kittle Motor Company has further expanded its territory after this week buying NSW’s Ballina Toyota.

It brings Peter Kittle’s Toyota franchises to eight and expands its area into the third Australian state, NSW, for the first time.

The Ballina dealership was sold by Ross and Trish Tate who have owned and operated the franchise for 15 years.

Peter Kittle Motor Company (PKMC) CEO Andrew Kittle told GoAutoNews Premium that the acquisition was in keeping with a strategy of expanding the business with those with like-minded values.

“We’ve been a Toyota dealer for 35 years because the values of Toyota align with our own business values,” he said.

“In the same way, the Tates have similar values to our family business.”

He said future acquisitions would be considered on their merits but that after a long relationship with Toyota, Toyota was the franchise that would be sought after.

“The geographical spread of the business isn’t a problem for us,” he said.

“We have adjusted our business to work across different locations and have experienced staff to ensure the quality of our work and to maximise the customer experience.”

Mr Kittle said: “I am proud to have gotten to know Ross and Tricia during the acquisition process, and proud that our group will get to continue their tradition of excellence in the Northern Rivers and wider NSW communities.”

PKMC now has 450 staff at its eight Toyota and one Mazda dealership (Mildura). All staff at Ballina will remain with the new owners.

PKMC started in May 1988 in Alice Springs with the promise to give Territorians the opportunity to receive the best in motor vehicle products and services as well as superior customer experience.

It said that through the continued support of its loyal customers, Peter Kittle Motor Company was recognised for the high quality range of services provided to its valued customers.
