RENAULT Australia is recruiting for a new sales director following the recent departure of Mark Palavestra, who is preparing to join Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) Australia as its new sales chief.

As GoAuto has reported, Mr Palavestra had spent the past six years as sales director for the French brand, joining in 2011 after some 18 years in senior positions with GM Holden.

Renault Australia has advised that managing director Andrew Moore had taken over Mr Palavestra’s previous responsibilities until a replacement is found, with assistance from the company’s newly appointed general manager of network sales Steve Ellis.

Mr Ellis was only recently promoted to the newly created network sales position after serving as southern region manager – a role that he is also still managing for the time being.
