CAREXPERT CEO Damon Rielly has left the business after four and a half years.

He will be succeeded by Carexpert founders Alborz Fallah and Paul Maric who will assume the roles of interim co-CEOs, supported by the executive leadership team and board.

The founders said they thanked Mr Rielly for his contribution during an important period of growth for the company.

During his tenure, Carexpert significantly expanded its media business, built out its marketplace capability, grew its team and dealer network, and continued to establish the brand as a major player in Australian automotive media.

“Damon has made a significant contribution to Carexpert over the past four and a half years, helping us grow the business, build out our media and marketplace capability and strengthen the team around us,” said Mr Maric.

“We’re grateful for what he has helped us achieve.”

Mr Maric said the business was “in a strong position” with a growing audience, a marketplace generating thousands of enquiries and hundreds of sales, and a clear opportunity as the Australian new-car market becomes more complex”.

“Alborz and I are looking forward to getting even closer to the business again and continuing to build from here,” he added.

He said that the founders remain closely involved in the business and will continue to focus on Carexpert’s core strategy – growing its audience, strengthening its independent editorial and video offering, and helping more Australians move confidently from researching a new car to buying one.
