ROLLS-ROYCE has appointed Irene Nikkein as its regional director for the Asia-Pacific region, based in Singapore.

Ms Nikkein has more than 15 years of experience in senior positions with BMW Group Asia and as Mini Japan’s head of brand communication and product management.

She was also BMW regional experiential and sponsorship supervisor and Mini regional advertising supervisor.

Ms Nikkein’s predecessor, Paul Harris, has left the company. Her appointment comes three weeks after BMW Group Asia appointed Lars Nielsen as its new managing director, replacing Christopher Wehner who returned to Germany to take up a new post with Mini.

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars director of sales and brand, Henrik Wilhelmsmeyer, said of Ms Nikkein: “Her exceptional track record and extensive regional knowledge make her the perfect fit for this important role.”

Ms Nikkein is originally from Indonesia and graduated with a bachelor’s diploma in business administration, majoring in marketing, with distinction from the RMIT University in Singapore.

Rolls-Royce Asia Pacific is based in Singapore but the office oversees the brand’s operations in more than 15 markets.
