ALLIED Credit has appointed experienced automotive finance and business specialist Jim Giles as head of alliances and acquisitions.

Mr Giles comes to Allied Credit with 22 years experience at ANZ and Esanda, where he was responsible for the broad business with roles in automotive and lending fields including business initiatives and implementation, asset finance, commercial lending, sales and service.

He said he was “super excited and proud” to join Allied Credit and be part of a team “with impressive credentials and experience, with a strong and inclusive culture, and importantly a clear brand and partnership focus”.

“I believe that culture is king and that the culture of Allied Credit and its automotive advocacy ensures we both enhance and retain relationships with customers, OEMs, joint venture partners and dealers. These were significant reasons for coming to the company,” he said.

“That was reinforced by the calibre of the individuals in the company and its strong emphasis on brand and relationships.”

Mr Giles said the potential of the company is accelerating rapidly “with numerous and exciting growth opportunity channels to explore”.

Allied Credit CEO Jon Moodie said Mr Giles was a very important addition to the company with a strong senior management history in business relationships.

“Jim brings an unrivalled reputation for building strong business relationships at the highest level and it’s very clear he will enhance Allied’s partner-first culture,” Mr Moodie said.
