VOLVO Car Australia has announced two senior executives to expand its leadership team in Australia.

Tony Pepper has been appointed sales director with responsibility for sales, sales planning, product, logistics, financial services, insurance and used vehicles.

Mr Pepper has more than 25 years experience in the car industry in areas including retail sales, wholesale sales, marketing, distribution, network development, cultural transformation and customer experience.

He has a long career with Toyota Australia, including three years as managing director of Sydney City Toyota, and was most recently the NSW state manager of Mazda Australia.

Volvo has also appointed Esme Ribarovski as head of human resources and people experience.

She joins Volvo from Red Bull where she led human resources functions across Australia and greater Asia.

She has 20 years of experience in human resources management gained in major organisations including KPMG Australia and Nine Entertainment.

Volvo Car Australia managing director Stephen Connor said: “Esme and Tony are high calibre professionals who will be a great addition to our Australian executive team.

“They will play an important role in supporting Volvo’s growth agenda which in 2021 includes opening three new Volvo Retail Experience dealerships and a new training centre to support our all-electric strategy.”
