Quick sojourn: Glenn Butler has resigned from his corporate communications role with FCA Australia after joining the company in October.

FIAT Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) Australia director of corporate communications Glenn Butler has stepped down from his role less than a year after joining the company.

Following the departure of Andrew Chesterton, Mr Butler joined FCA Australia as corporate communications manager in October 2016 after working as editor of Wheels magazine for the previous three years.

Mr Butler stepped up to the role of director of corporate communications in April when the position was vacated by Lucy McLellan who was promoted to head of PR and communications for the Asia-Pacific region.

Today marked Mr Butler’s last day with the company, with Ms McLellan to take on both Mr Butler’s role and her own until a suitable replacement is found.

Just last month FCA appointed Liam Price from FCA’s North American division to fill the role of corporate communications manager following on from Mr Butler and Ms McLellan’s new roles.

Mr Price had spent the previous year as communications manager for FCA Canada before making the move Down Under, and had an additional 18 months of prior experience within the company’s internal communications division.

He started in his role yesterday after moving from his native Canada.
