SERVCO Australia, one of the nation’s largest automotive retail dealership networks, has announced the promotion of managing director Nick Pappas to the position of president of Servco Global Mobility with the responsibility of setting overarching strategic direction for it and parent company, Servco Pacific.

Servco Australia is part of Honolulu-based Servco Pacific, with operations spanning from Cairns to Melbourne and across to Perth.

Nick Pappas is able to leverage his 33 years of experience in the automotive business sector when calling the shots at Servco Global Mobility, covering operations both here and in Hawaii.

He continues as the managing director of Servco Australia responsible for managing group dealership operations, leading Servco dealer principal equity partners, maintaining strong OEM relationships, optimising, and protecting Servco’s investment in Australia.

In its portfolio, the private automotive dealer group currently owns 17 Toyota dealerships, three Lexus dealerships and one Hino dealership.

In total, Servco Australia has 29 rooftops, employs 1300 team members and has implemented an aggressive growth strategy to support the “exciting future direction of the business”.

“We are known as a fast paced and agile team, with a keen eye on disrupting and challenging the norms,” said Mr Pappas.

“Our parent company, Servco Pacific, is based in Honolulu, Hawaii and has recently celebrated 100 years of being in business.”

Mr Pappas has overseen Servco Australia’s development into a nationwide automotive business with dealership operations in the eastern states of Australia, west of the Great Dividing Range and in Western Australia.

Servco dealerships are located in: Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Cairns, Sunshine Coast, Dubbo, Tamworth, Armidale, Inverell, Echuca, and Perth and are owned in partnership with its “dealer principals and equity partners”.

Mr Pappas joined the company in 2007 as a DP and equity partner at Downtown Toyota Brisbane, Servco’s first acquisition in Australia.

Since then, he has been instrumental in growing Servco’s investment in Australia.
