NISSAN Financial Services Australia has a new managing director in Andrew Maeer, an automotive finance executive with broad experience in several markets over an extended period.

Mr Maeer draws upon time spent working at various headquarters, market leadership and executive management positions including non-executive board roles in strategic markets such as Thailand, China, India, and South America.

He starts in the new role having previously been general manager, Global Sales Finance at Nissan Motor Corporation in Japan where he was responsible for management and governance of all of Nissan’s financial service subsidiaries, financial services joint ventures, global reinsurance operations, white label banking, external finance company relationships and market-facing insurance relationships on behalf of Nissan across all markets in which the brand operates.

Before that, Mr Maeer held various positions with what is now the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance in Thailand among other postings.

He holds a Master of Business Administration from Deakin University and brings a robust skill set to the appointment at Nissan Financial Services Australia that includes leadership, team building, banking, customer relations, executive management and can contribute valuable insights into the industry.
