SIME Darby Berhad has announced the appointment of Muhammad Noor as its new group chief financial officer.

He was previously the CFO of the Sime Darby Motors Division.

Mr Noor has 26 years of experience across finance and business leadership disciplines, starting with pivotal roles as the chief financial officer for UEM Edgenta and Pos Malaysia, along with nearly 15 years with Nestle in various capacities in several countries.

His rich expertise spans multiple industries including manufacturing, logistics, e-commerce, package/freight delivery, healthcare, infrastructure solutions and the automotive sector.

Promotion: Encik Muhammad Noor was previously the CFO of the Sime Darby Motors Division.

This puts Mr Noor in a strong position facing the job ahead, as does his education qualifications and other training.

He is an alumnus of Salford University with a degree in finance and accounting and is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants.

Mr Noor also attended the Advanced Management Program at the Harvard Business School and the Corporate and Financial Restructuring Program at the Amsterdam Institute of Finance.
