On the marque: After a year in Hong Kong as Infiniti’s global product and brand communications manager, Chris Jordan is heading back to Melbourne as the new head of public relations for Porsche Cars Australia.

PORSCHE Cars Australia (PCA) has appointed former Nissan Australia corporate communications executive Chris Jordan as its new head of public relations.

As GoAuto has reported, former PCA director of public relations and motorsport Paul Ellis officially stepped down at the end of last month after 12 years of service, although he is now staying on as a consultant until the end of the year to assist with the changeover.

Mr Ellis handed responsibility for motorsport back to marketing director Toni Andreevski while PCA looked for a replacement PR manager, and Mr Jordan, who has spent the past 12 months as global product and brand communications manager for Nissan’s luxury brand Infiniti in Hong Kong, has now emerged as the successful candidate.

Mr Jordan was previously corporate communications manager for Nissan Australia, which included responsibility for Infiniti.

He came to the Japanese brand in 2012 after managing public relations activities for various Australian motor racing teams and related organisations over a nine-year period.

He also had a stint for almost two years as a staff journalist on Australasian Motorsport News.

PCA has advised that Mr Jordan will take up the new position on November 8.
