AUSTRALIA’S vital automotive aftermarket industry is putting its products and technology on show tomorrow with the two-day Autocare 2018 in Sydney’s Darling Harbour.

The event, held by the Australian Automotive Aftermarket Association (AAAA), is already sold out, has attracted 100 companies and lured key speakers including Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) chairman Rod Sims and assistant minister to the treasurer, the honorary Michael Sukkar MP.

Minister Sukkar and Mr Sims will provide the industry with an overview of the government’s response to the competition issues identified as part of the ACCC’s increased monitoring and enforcement of anti-competitive behaviour in the industry during its 18-month study into new car retailing.

AAAA executive director Stuart Charity said this was the first major automotive aftermarket industry event to be held in Sydney for five years.

The Autocare Show is part of the Autocare Convention that will have keynote addresses and discussions with automotive, business and economic professionals.
