Mr McCann has been with the company since 2001 and rose to become the chief operating officer prior to his CEO appointment.

The appointment is planned to be a smooth transition, with Andrew Brown continuing in the role as managing director. The transitioning of the company’s executive management team aims to ensure ARB’s ongoing leadership, company culture and success.

Mr McCann has held various leadership roles including as managing director of the Thai operations between 2010 and 2014 and general manager of International and OEM Sales between 2014 and 2018.

The company said significant growth had been achieved during Mr McCann’s tenure, particularly in international and OEM sales since he assumed responsibility for these areas in 2014.

ARB chair Roger Brown said the board was “very pleased” with Mr McCann’s CEO promotion.

“Lachlan has made a strong contribution to ARB over many years and is committed to our core values of driving excellence with passion,” he said.

“We are confident that his leadership, drive and global four-wheel drive industry experience will underpin the company’s ongoing growth. We wish him every success in his new role.”
