ASTON Martin Lagonda has appointed luxury automotive executive Greg Adams as its new regional president of Japan and South Korea.

Previously the representative director and president of Maserati Japan, Mr Adams now strengthens Aston Martin’s senior leadership in Asia.

He brings more than 30 years of experience in the global automotive industry, from both North America and Asia.

Prior to his position with Maserati in Japan, Mr Adams held senior roles with DaimlerChrysler, Mitsubishi, Nissan and Ford.

He also established and ran Ferrari Japan and served as the brand’s head of marketing and brand experience in North America.

Before returning to Japan two years ago to oversee Maserati’s business there, Mr Adams held electrification product strategy positions with international EV start-ups.

The appointment of a dedicated regional president for Japan and South Korea, to be based in Tokyo, forms part of Aston Martin’s strategic growth plans in Asia, where it is seeking to capitalise on the region’s huge commercial potential and increasing consumer demand.

Aston Martin CEO Amedeo Felisa said: “I believe that in collaboration with the global commercial team and Freda Wang, our regional president of Greater China, Greg can play an important part in accelerating our plans in Asia, a region which holds a huge growth opportunity for Aston Martin.”
