INFOMEDIA Ltd has appointed automotive and technology leader Jens Monsees as its new CEO and managing director.

The company said that Mr Monsees brings extensive global leadership experience, having worked at the highest levels in both global automotive and technology industries.

He was previously CEO and managing director of WPP AUNZ and before that, was chief digital officer and global lead for digital transformation for the BMW Group, based in Germany.

At BMW he took on full responsibility and leadership for all digital initiatives of the car-maker from customer and services, to connected car as well as from production to tech and soft enablers with direct consultancy of the CEO and BMW’s executive board.

He also defined and implemented a five-year digital transformation program across every functional business area including a state of-the-art change program based on IT, data, adtech, analytics, CRM systems, robotics, smart logistics and the internet of things.

In addition, Mr Monsees provided governance and tech-and-business guidance for BMW Group’s i-ventures startup fund.

Mr Monsees was also with Google for almost seven years, most recently as director of branding, based in Europe.

Infomedia said he will continue to deliver solutions to support the company’s automotive manufacturing partners and their aligned dealers.

Mr Monsees said: “Our next chapter of growth will be driven by a scalable platform business, leveraging our extensive and valued relationships, data opportunities, innovative ideas and talent across the globe.

“Personally, it is another exciting moment in my career.”
