AUSTRALIAN automotive software company AutoGrab has appointed Damien Ngo as head of data and analytics.

Mr Ngo is the third high-profile senior recruitment by Autograb this year.

He has more than 10 years of experience in the automotive industry and AutoGrab said his appointment has generated considerable excitement among the team.

AutoGrab said: “Mr Ngo’s extensive background in data and analytics promises to be a game-changer.

Scaling up: incoming head of data and analytics Damien Ngo becomes AutoGrab’s third senior hire this year.

“The team is eagerly anticipating the positive impact he will have on the company’s future.

“This new addition is expected to open exciting possibilities for further enhancing AutoGrab’s product offerings and expanding its capabilities.”

In response to his appointment, Mr Ngo said: “I am excited to be part of the company where vehicle pricing data is the heart of its operation and product offerings to our dealer clients.

“It is exciting to join a young and growing company with many talented employees and establish a strong foundation in data strategy and infrastructure to enable further market expansion and operational scaling.”

Mr Ngo already has some big projects ahead of him, with AutoGrab expanding through South-East Asia and the UK as well as entering new verticals.

With its expansion, AutoGrab said it is demonstrating a continuous commitment to advancing and expanding its product offerings, its team, and the automotive industry as a whole.

Mr Ngo joins other appointees this year including Henry Pedersen as COO and Dylan Ross as its state manager for Queensland.

The appointments come as AutoGrab scales up to meet demand for its services as it launches additional products to support its customers.

AutoGrab, which uses data analytics to price all used cars across the internet and can predict future price movements, said accurate pricing valuations of used cars now and in future is critical to the survival of used car dealerships and other businesses associated with the motor trade.

Started in Australia in 2020 during COVID-19 lockdowns by Daniel Werzberger and Chris Gardner, AutoGrab is used by automotive dealerships, fleet managers, insurers and accountants.

Both founders have earlier experience in the used car buying and selling field through associations with other companies.

AutoGrab has also secured investment from New Zealand’s largest online marketplace and classified site Trade Me, which has taken a 51 per cent stake in AutoGrab NZ
