The accolade, which was presented at the 2022 PACCAR Supplier of the Year awards ceremony, recognises PACCAR’s major suppliers in its Supplier Performance Management (SPM) program.

PACCAR said the award recognises suppliers over a range of areas including new product innovations, sales and marketing program support, availability, on time delivery, lead-time, product quality and warranty support.

Through the SPM program, suppliers and PACCAR Australia personnel collaborate to identify performance enhancements and to develop product innovations. This culminates with an annual Supplier of the Year Awards evening where the best performing suppliers in various categories are recognised.

The award of the Supplier of the Year trophy was presented to AutoKlene general manager Paul Treverton by (then) general manager of PACCAR Parts, Damian Smethurst, who congratulated the company and credited them for their benchmark performance. Mr Smethurest was earlier this month promoted to managing director of PACCAR Australia.

AutoKlene is part of the MotorOne Group, operating manufacturing and distribution from the MotorOne Group super-site facility in Bayswater, Victoria.

AutoKlene’s Paul Treverton, in accepting the award on behalf of the team at AutoKlene, said: “AutoKlene had worked hard in the past 12 months to implement new processes and procedures in the new facility at Bayswater, not far from PACCAR Parts.”

“From humble beginnings and a range of wash poles over 20 years ago, to developing the TRP range of cleaning products and now the Kenworth cleaning range of products, this has been a very rewarding journey with PACCAR Parts.

“Working closely with PACCAR and what we have learnt along the journey has really helped our business grow and for this we are sincerely thankful.”

PACCAR Parts materials manager Colin Brown recognised AutoKlene’s performance by saying, “Many of our suppliers have embraced the opportunities and challenges we are collectively facing with high levels of demand and challenged supply chains.

“AutoKlene is one of those suppliers who have successfully grown their business through new and existing product ranges, while also improving performance levels.

“AutoKlene are also leading our transactional excellence initiatives that are streamlining our business operations, namely EDI which will soon become a mandatory requirement for all suppliers of PACCAR Parts”.
