AUTONEXUS has announced the appointment of Craig Cairnduff to the position of managing director, effective immediately. He replaces Darren Bowler who resigned last month after almost five years with the company.

In his new role, Mr Cairnduff will be responsible for the logistics, transport, fulfilment, and warehousing operations of Inchcape Australasia.

He joined the Inchcape Australasia business and its leadership group in 2019 as franchise director responsible for the sales and aftersales divisions of Sydney-based Inchcape Automotive Retail outlets for Subaru, Peugeot and Citroen.

Inchcape Australasia managing director Colin Christie said: “With over three decades of industry experience and an ability to build talented teams that deliver exceptional results, Craig brings a wealth of knowledge to the role that will help accelerate the growth of AutoNexus as Australia’s automotive fulfilment partner of choice”.

Mr Cairnduff said: “I look forward to the opportunity to lead the AutoNexus team as we continue to power better mobility by delivering innovative, agile, and tailored end-to-end fulfilment solutions to support our valued partners and customers”.

INCHCAPE: Cairnduff takes on responsibilities for Inchcape’s logistics

Mr Cairnduff’s experience prior to Inchcape included a decade of his career as a financial controller before moving into a variety of dealership general manager and dealer principal roles across multiple brands including Lexus, BMW, and Audi.

He left to establish his own consultancy firm, providing his expert motor industry knowledge to clients including Toyota Motor Corporation Australia and Harley Davidson Australia.

He then returned to retail as managing director of Southern Motor Group; then dealer principal and general manager of marketing and customer development centre (eBusiness) for Peter Warren Automotive.

With Mr Cairnduff’s appointment as managing director of AutoNexus, Mark Kennedy has expanded his responsibilities as franchise director, now responsible for the Sydney and Melbourne operations of Inchcape Automotive Retail.

Mr Kennedy has been with Inchcape for more than a decade and joined the Inchcape Australasia Leadership Group when he was appointed franchise director Melbourne in January 2022.

AutoNexus is the market leader in integrated, omni-channel automotive fulfilment solutions.

It offers bespoke services to meet their customers’ needs including fleet conversions, refurbishment, and maintenance in addition to vehicle logistics, parts warehousing, accessory fitment, transport, aftermarket products, pre-delivery inspections and distribution and inventory management services for several of Australia’s leading automotive brands.
