AUTONEXUS managing director Darren Bowler has called it quits, announcing his resignation after four-and-a-half years with the Inchcape Australia division.

He said that during his tenure the business has more than doubled in size “and delivered incredible results for every single stakeholder, both internally and externally.”

“It’s been an incredible ride and I truly believe that I am walking away leaving the business in much better shape,” he said in a public notice on LinkedIn.

“People are no doubt your greatest asset, and an absolute catalyst for your success. There is no way we could have achieved what we did without the support and commitment by a team of dedicated and passionate people right across the entire business.

“For this, I will be forever grateful and extremely proud of the team that supported this journey. Thank you!”

Mr Bowler said he was “not sure what the next chapter will be just yet”.

Prior to his role at AutoNexus, Mr Bowler was general manager of commercial at Prixcar Services and, before that, regional manager for the company.

He has also held roles including managing director of Tata Motors’ Australian distributor Fusion Automotive, and for almost 13 years, was with Holden Special Vehicles (HSV), the last five-and-a-half years as general manager of sales.

The HSV role included new vehicle and parts distribution and logistics, including the car-maker’s export program to New Zealand, UK, UAE and Singapore and managing HSV/HRT’s apparel and merchandise department, the customer care department, distribution department, the HSV export department and the HSV dealer development department.

He previously held regional service and manager positions with Audi Australia.
