BMW Group Australia has reappointed Clemenger BBDO Melbourne and Colenso BBDO as its creative lead agencies in Australia and New Zealand.

Clemenger Group agency is believed to have won the bid ahead of Special Group and IPG Regional Team Dynamic.

It continues BMW’s relationship with Clemenger BBDO that started in 2018 when it won the account from long standing partner Ogilvy.

In a statement, the agency said that both Clemenger BBDO Melbourne and Colenso BBDO will continue to partner with BMW Group to “support the growth of the BMW and Mini brands in Australia and New Zealand, well into the future”

Clemenger BBDO Melbourne group CEO Jim Gall, said in Mumbrella: “We’ve enjoyed a fantastic relationship with the BMW Group Australia team since we first partnered with them four years ago, and couldn’t be happier to be extending that relationship and continuing the great work we have been doing”.

The win by Clemenger comes a month after BMW Australia appointed Alex McLean as its new general manager for marketing, replacing Tony Sesto who left the company after 12 years.

Atomic 212 won BMW Group’s media account last year.
