NEW Zealand importer and distributor of BYD Auto vehicles, Ateco Automotive NZ, has appointed Andrew Simms as its latest dealership in Auckland with its new showroom facility in the city’s North Shore.
It brings to 15 the number of BYD Auto NZ showrooms and is the third for Andrew Simms on top of the Newmarket and Botany Town Centre dealerships.

Ateco said that the new facility at 155 Wairau Road boasts an impressive number of EV chargers and vehicle parking, slick Wairau Road building frontage, a state-of-the-art showroom with ample space and several hoists to ensure plenty of room for the future BYD vehicle offering.
The dealership will stock the latest BYD EVs including the Atto3, Dolphin and soon, the Seal.

BYD New Zealand sales manager Warren Willmot said: “This brand-new dealership is quite possibly the most EV future-proofed dealership in the Southern Hemisphere. 

“The site has future capacity to be able to charge up to 40 cars at one time, with eight of those being on a DC charger. 

“We are building BYD to be a volume brand and this showroom will support our Auckland retail and fleet customers to a world-class standard.”
This latest flagship showroom, adds to the Andrew Simms locations based around New Zealand, including the most recently opened Andrew Simms Showroom in Dunedin. 

Ateco said that this new addition on the North shore continues to show Ateco Automotive NZ’s commitment to ongoing customer satisfaction with 15 full sales and service dealerships located in all major city centres around New Zealand, plus a comprehensive panel and paint repair network.
