RENAULT Group has appointed a former Pacific region brand executive Fabrice Cambolive to the position of CEO of the Renault brand.

Mr Cambolive was promoted to head of the Renault brand as a member of the Renault Group leadership team, reporting to Renault Group CEO Luca de Meo.

In his new role, Mr Cambolive – having served as Renault brand chief operating officer since May 2022 – will work with the Renault brand management committee to consolidate the sustainable and profitable development of the French car-maker.

He will also ensure the transformation of the brand with the launch of 14 new vehicles by 2025 and through its expansion in Europe and internationally.

Mr de Meo said: “I am proud that Fabrice Cambolive, thanks to the strength of his 30-year experience within the group, is taking over the leadership of the Renault brand.

“His commitment, his international experience and his in-depth knowledge of the group will enable him to continue to ensure the brand’s progress in high-value segments. I am counting on him to guide the teams throughout the deep transformation the Renault brand will undergo in the coming years.”

Mr Cambolive (54) graduated from TBS Education Business School in Toulouse, France. He joined Renault Group in 1992 and held various international sales and marketing positions for 20 years in Spain, Switzerland, France, Germany and Romania.

His international career continued in 2011 when he was appointed vice president of sales and marketing for Russia and Eurasia region before being appointed as CEO of Renault do Brasil in 2015.

In 2017, he was promoted to senior vice president and chairman of the Africa, Middle East and India Pacific region.

Mr Cambolive was nominated senior vice president of sales and operations for the Renault brand In 2021, tasked with deploying the ‘Renaulution’ strategic plan globally and leading the brand’s business model transformation.

Expansion: The challenge set for Fabrice Cambolive in his new CEO role is to transform the Renault brand and launch 14 new models by 2025.
