PERTH’S first shopping centre car retailer has made a successful debut, selling more than six cars in its first three days despite not yet to launching its marketing campaign.

Cockburn Central Hyundai follows the same philosophy set by UK Hyundai shopping mall retailer Rockar, positioning itself in a substantial 470 square metre shop within a shopping hub south of Perth city.

Dealer principal Ben Loader said he was very pleased with the sales and interest in the concept.

“It’s early days and we still have to launch our marketing plans, so a lot of potential buyers don’t yet know where we are,” he said.

“But people are very interested in the store and I think that once word is out about our location and the Hyundai products, we should do quite well.”

Cockburn Central Hyundai has five staff and Mr Loader planned to increase that number in the near future.
