DIGITAL marketing expert Simon Van Wyk has joined one of Australia’s biggest dealer groups, Autopact, as head of eCommerce and digital.
Mr Van Wyk brings extensive experience to the position, having managed Toyota Australia’s digital strategy and platform over many years and consulted for Volkswagen and Subaru, among various brands in automotive and other industries.
These include BigPond, McDonald’s, Microsoft and Vodafone.
In the new position, Mr Van Wyk reports directly to Autopact chief executive John Eastham and will work closely with dealer principals and other senior staff throughout the company, which operates 28 dealerships across Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.
He is charged with working on “the digital transformation of the dealer group” across the Autopact stable, which includes the Crick Auto Group in Queensland and the Bayford Group in Victoria, and covers almost all the leading brands in Australia.
