THE Solitaire Automotive Group has become the latest dealer group to join Ducati as the motorcycle maker accelerates its national presence.

Ducati Adelaide, in the city’s suburb of Hawthorn, also becomes the first example of an Audi-integrated format in Australia where the exclusive Ducati dealership is set within the Audi Solitaire showroom.

Ducati has been part of the Volkswagen Group and owned by Audi since 2012 so the dealership integration showcases the commitment from both group brands to design, to performance and to client experience represented by the display of the full range of Ducati and Ducati Scrambler models.

Solitaire Automotive Group opened in 1971 but grew quickly on the back of offering premium service to its clients across a range of automotive brands. That growth and attention to detail for their clients now allows the dealership to represent some of the world’s most prestigious British and European automotive marques.  Ducati Australia managing director Sergi Canovas said the partnership between Ducati and Solitaire marked another step forward in the expansion of the Australian Ducati dealer network while also providing Ducatisti in Adelaide with an immersive Ducati experience and service.

“Solitaire Automotive Group has played an important role in Adelaide’s automotive culture and continues to raise the bar across both their sales and service experiences,” he said.

“We are pleased to welcome them to the family as they offer a complete Ducati experience to our South  Australian enthusiasts.”

Ducati Adelaide managing director David Smoker said: “I am extremely proud to welcome Ducati to the Solitaire  Automotive Group. Ducati is an iconic brand and, as a motorcycle enthusiast myself, this is a dream come true.

“We very much look forward to working with Ducati and our clients; with passion and expertise.”

Ducati Adelaide offers the full range of Ducati motorcycles, apparel, accessories from the exclusive showroom at 26 Belair Road, Hawthorn with the Ducati service centre located at 58 Scotland Road, Mile End.

Ducati, founded in 1926, still works in the development and manufacturing of its world-famous motorcycles from its factory in Borgo Panigale (Bologna, Italy).

In 2023, Ducati marked an unprecedented year for the company which, for the second year in a row, became World Champion in both championships, also winning the World SSP title.

Until 2026, the Italian motorbike manufacturer will also be the sole official supplier of motorbikes for the FIM Enel MotoE World Cup, the electric class of the MotoGP World Championship, which will see up to 18 high-performance electric motorbikes developed and produced by Ducati.

In addition, the 2024 season will see the opening of a new, historic chapter for Ducati, which officially enters the world of off-road by debuting in the Italian Motocross Championship.
