THE longstanding manager of administration and events at the Australian Automotive Aftermarket Association (AAAA), Michelle Vizzutti, has left after almost 30 years with the organisation.

Ms Vizzutti started with the AAAA in July 1993 after a career in administration.

She said that it was “with sadness but also great excitement that after 30 years with the AAAA, the time has come for me to turn a new page and say goodbye”.

“It’s now time for me to do all those things I have wanted to do and spend much more time with my family as I venture into retirement.

“I am honoured to have been a part of such a wonderful association for so many years and I want to thank each and every one of you who has provided guidance, friendship, lots of laughter and so many fond memories during my time here.

“Thank you for all the camaraderie, the support, and the happy times. I wish you all great success in your future endeavours.”

The AAAA said that Ms Vizzutti’s career at the association began when she joined in a part-time administration role based in a small office at Monash University in Caufield under the leadership of David Wright.

VALUED: AAAA said Michelle “is universally loved, valued and respected”

“At that time there were only three employees, a few hundred members and very little cash reserves,” it said.

“Over the years Michelle has played a critical role in the phenomenal growth and success of the AAAA business and has been instrumental in overseeing administration, finance, major events and the awards program as well as contributing to membership, international missions and the magazine.”

Her significant impact on the association, its members and her colleagues was acknowledged by AAAA’s CEO Stuart Charity who said: “It’s an emotional time for all of us, given Michelle has been such a valued member of the AAAA team for so long.

“She is diligent, dedicated and has been a role model and mentor for so many of our staff over her journey. Her ‘can do’ attitude and willingness to roll up her sleeves and get things done is admirable, and her understanding of all elements of the business has been a huge asset.

“Michelle is universally loved, valued and respected by all the staff, directors and members that have cycled through the organisation during her time with us.

“From a personal perspective, I’ll greatly miss working with Michelle and I wanted to personally thank her for her loyalty, hard work, support, and friendship … she will be dearly missed but will always be considered part of the team.

“On behalf of the entire AAAA family we wish Michelle good health, happiness and success in this next phase of her life.”

Ms Vizzutti officially finishes with the AAAA on April 6 but will work in a part-time capacity to assist during the transition period.
