THE WA Local Government Association (WALGA) has listed Fleetcare as a preferred supplier of fleet management services, opening the door to Fleetcare’s products and services without the local governments needing to go to tender.

It follows Fleetcare last year having a similar status with WA state government departments.

WALGA advocates for 138 local governments in WA and negotiates service agreements for the sector.

Its preferred supplier status gives the governments access to goods and services and avoids the need for the cost and time of the tender process.

Fleetcare now is a pre-qualified, high-quality supplier with optimal value for money that meets regulatory compliance.

The WA department of finance’s fleet procurement division (known as State Fleet) last year awarded Fleetcare the sole supplier status for the contract provision of fleet management services to all WA state government departments and agencies.

Fleetcare chief executive Nigel Malcolm said: “The award of this contract further reiterates the confidence in our ability to provide exceptional fleet leasing services to all WA government, both state and local.

“We’re excited to be extending our existing relationships with a number of WA local governments to include corporate and novated leasing solutions.”

Fleetcare offers integrated fleet solutions designed to reduce cost and administration while maximising fleet efficiency.

The company was started in 1989 and is now the country’s biggest independent fleet management company with more than 45,000 vehicles in its portfolio.
