ONE of Australia’s latest Skoda dealerships has won an impressive double crown at the brand’s dealer awards, announced in Prague as part of the Czech brand’s international dealer conference.

Kevin Dennis Skoda of Deer Park in Victoria won the brand’s double crown after being named both National Dealer of the Year and Metro Dealer of the Year. In addition, the dealership won the Skoda Financial Services Dealer of the Year award.

The dealership is part of a family-owned company that has been serving the Deer Park area, west of Melbourne, since the 1960s and was one of six Australian Skoda outlets rewarded for excellence and presented with their awards in front of an international audience.

Skoda Australia’s remaining three awards categories went to Newcastle Skoda (Provincial Dealer of the Year), Hobart Skoda (Rural Dealer of the Year) and Bayside Skoda of Cheltenham in Victoria (Skoda Excellence Award, encompassing multiple facets of the business).

The event in Prague was attended by Volkswagen Group Australia managing director Karsten Seifert and Skoda director of sales international Jan Procházka.

Skoda Australia director Michael Irmer said: “There could not have been a better setting to honour our best dealers than here, in the very heart of Skoda’s homeland.

“Our dealers and customers are embarking on the most exciting chapter in the brand’s Australian story. Our range is being completely renewed and will soon feature our first BEV, the eagerly awaited Enyaq.”
