NEW Zealand electric vehicle charging equipment manufacturer Evnex has appointed Matt Heggie as its chief sales officer.
Mr Heggie will be based in Australia and joins the company from Carsales where he was head of operations and general manager of its automotive division.
He has more than two decades of experience in the automotive industry and more than 15 years in sales leadership.
Mr Heggie said: “I am thrilled to join Evnex at such an exciting time in the EV market. Interest in electric vehicles is growing thanks to more affordable models and new segments that were previously out of reach for many buyers.
“Improved batteries now offer significantly increased range and this progress underscores the importance of effective and efficient battery charging solutions.”
Mr Heggie will be based between Melbourne and Sydney, and steps into the role as Evnex continues to grow its footprint in the Australian market.
He says his values align with Evnex’s mission to deliver clean, efficient, and reliable energy solutions to EV drivers.
“Evnex is a standout in this space, thanks to its exceptional product development and design,” said Mr Heggie.
“Our chargers are specifically designed to provide clean and efficient energy to electric vehicles, meeting the needs of today’s EV drivers.”
Evnex CEO Ed Harvey said Mr Heggie’s extensive experience in the automotive sector positions him as a key leader in advancing Evnex’s growth.
“We’re really pleased to have Matt joining the team,” Mr Harvey said.
“Evnex is well positioned to grow across Australia, and Matt’s expertise will support our ambition to become the preferred charger choice for EV drivers across Australia and New Zealand.”
Based in Christchurch, Evnex says its smart EV chargers are proudly New Zealand-made, featuring locally-sourced components and assembly.
