ASTON Martin has partnered with a property development in the US for the second time, this time collaborating on five homes within a New York luxury residential project.

The homes, designed by British architect Sir David Adjaye and developed by one of the US’s biggest private real estate companies, Lightstone, are under construction within the 66-storey residential tower at 130 William St in Manhattan.

The five fully-furnished homes on the 59th and 60th levels include two penthouses, priced at $US11.5 million ($A16.315m) and $US10.5m ($A14.9m), and three loggia residences priced from $US3.985m ($A5.65m), $US5.985m ($A8.49m) and $US10m ($A14.19m).

Aston Martin’s involvement is supplying a limited edition SUV to go with each home and aptly named the 130 William Adjaye Special Edition Aston Martin DBX that has been designed by the architect.

The homes’ furniture is from the Aston Martin Home Collection by the Italian manufacturer Formitalia.

Aston Martin chief creative officer Marek Reichman and Sir David Adjaye worked together on the project.

Mr Reichman said: “This is a fascinating project for the Aston Martin design team to work on and a great opportunity to collaborate with Sir David. It is our first real estate project in New York City but our second collaboration in real estate design after the Aston Martin Residences in Miami.

“We can apply what we have learnt in Miami and also bring our unique automotive design skills to these beautiful luxury homes.”

Adjaye was responsible for designing 130 William’s exterior and all of the building’s interiors which includes 242 residences, over 1850 square metres of amenities, and a new plaza park.

The building is based on New York’s history of masonry architecture and features a custom hand-cast façade with refined bronze detailing, a contemporary interpretation of the stonework that characterised classic Manhattan architecture.

Another signature feature is the silhouette of rhythmic, large-scale arched windows that draw inspiration from the lofts that once populated the area.

Buyers have the option of customising one of the rooms in the two and three-bedroom homes into a racing simulator, an office and library space, or a bedroom.

The simulator room is a collaboration between Aston Martin Design and Curv Racing Simulators, a new British technology company founded by Darren Turner, a three-time class winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans for Aston Martin and an industry-leading expert in racing simulation technology.

The 130 William Adjaye Special Edition Aston Martin DBX marks the first time that Aston Martin has collaborated with an architect on the custom fit-out of one of their signature vehicles.

The special DBX features real stone accents, with Grey “Pietra D’Avola” marble inlays matched with carved solid satin walnut wood, traditional hand-stitched leather of Parliament Green trim and steering wheel from Aston Martin’s in-house customisation service, Q by Aston Martin.

The multi-layered paintwork in a Q by Aston Martin bespoke colour is inspired by 130 William’s exterior.
