MITSUBISHI’S last Evo X in the US was auctioned today for charity. The auction ended with the winning bid of $US76,400 with all funds going to Feeding America Riverside and San Bernardino and Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County.The Final Edition has an extra 8kW, Bilstein dampers, Eiback springs, five-speed manual transmission and Brembo brakes.
THE Range Rover Evoque Convertible helped to lift Jaguar Land Rover sales in the UK to its strongest August to date. More than 1200 convertibles have sold in its first month of August and Evoque sales have now passed 500,000. JLR has sold 372,978 vehicles in the first eight months of 2016, up 24 per cent on 2015. The Evoque Convertible is in Australian showrooms in November.
THE UK will fund a 1km wall at the Port of Calais in France in addition to an existing fence that costs $120,000 a week to repair as migrants break through to attempt to board trucks headed for London. Britain’s Freight Transport Association welcomed the funding for the wall. It said migrants are now throwing weapons at trucks. One per cent of France’s entire police force has been sent to Calais to quell violence and control the 10,000 refugees.
