AUSTRALIAN truck manufacturer Iveco has named five more national dealers and will roll out a further list next month as it brings new truck models on line.

The five new dealers – that will each carry out sales, service and parts delivery for the new International ProStar range of trucks – include two in Queensland and one each in New South Wales, Western Australia and Victoria.

The appointments come as Iveco Australia introduces the ProStar truck range. The five – which are all existing Iveco dealers and also are authorised Cummins service outlets – add to an existing network of 11 outlets.

Iveco Australia dealer channel director Geoff Buswell said the company was finalising more International dealer appointments.

“We’re extremely happy with the number of high quality International dealerships that are being appointed,” he said.

“From a strategic positioning perspective, we’re getting close to our objective of providing strong and convenient representation for customers in all Australian states.

“This will be achieved in the coming weeks as the remaining dealerships come on line.”

Mr Buswell said some of the dealers have already taken delivery of International stock.

Iveco Australia makes trucks, buses and vans under the Iveco, ACCO and International brand names in Dandenong, Victoria, and directly employs 600 people in Australia and thousands more around the country in areas including retailing and component supplies.

The five new dealers are:

  • Black Truck Sales in Toowoomba, Queensland
  • Honeycombes Sales & Service in Townsville, Queensland
  • Sydney Truck & Machinery Centre in Narellan, NSW
  • Bendigo Truck Centre in Bendigo, Victoria
  • Purcher International in Geraldton, Western Australia
